Flamingo Beach offers a taste of paradise to its visitors and has a picturesque setting worthy of adorning a postcard. It is a relatively small resort town but it never gives you the opportunity to become bored.
The Guanacaste coast is also referred to as 'the golden coast of Costa Rica' the sands are white and soft and the waters are a twinkling crystal blue colour. Throughout the town of Flamingo Beach there is a definite North American community whilst in most of the neighbouring towns there is more of a Costa Rican feel.
Palo Verde National Park and wildlife refuge is situated in the centre of the Tempisque Basin which is located at the mouth of the Tempisque River. The park is home to numerous varieties of birds and it was due to all the different species of birds present in the area that the park was initially formed.
The nightlife is very vibrant throughout the town of Flamingo Beach, in the centre visitors will discover the Amberes Restaurant which serves delicious dishes and has a bar and also a casino. The city of Liberia is the next nearest city to Flamingo Beach and there are several discos, bars and clubs here it is approximately a 40 minute drive away from Flamingo Beach.
